Job Overview:
We're hiring an Assistant Canning Line Operator to join our Oak Creek team. This role is ideal for someone eager to quickly grow into a Lead Operator position. We're looking for a motivated, dependable, mechanically inclined and detail-oriented individual ready to learn the ropes and elevate their role in a short period. Key Responsibilities:
Setup & Breakdown:
Start each day unloading the truck and setting up equipment. End each day packing equipment back up securely and preparing it for transport.
Sanitation & Quality Control:
Mix and apply sanitizing chemicals, thoroughly clean equipment, monitor quality control, and ensure accurate tracking.
Operating Equipment:
Feed cans into the canning line, weigh cans for accuracy, and learn to operate the depalletizer and heavy machinery safely. Collaborate with
Customers:
Work closely with brewery owners, head brewers, and brewery staff to provide a seamless, quality canning experience. Support & Learn from the
Lead Operator:
Work alongside the Lead Operator to develop the skills needed for a smooth transition to a leadership role.
What We're Looking For:
Mechanically Inclined Problem-Solver:
Machinery isn't always predictable. We need someone who's resourceful and can think on their feet to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Physically Fit & Endurance Ready:
You'll be lifting heavy equipment, utilizing equipment to move 150-lb. pallets, and staying active throughout the day, often up to 12-hour shifts.
Adaptable Schedule:
We work on our customers' schedules, so hours can vary week to week, with long days and occasional overnight travel required.
Customer Service Mindset:
Our customers' craft is our priority. A positive attitude, good listening skills, and a commitment to quality are essential.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Exposure to moving parts, loud noise, and varying temperatures in tight spaces at job sites. Ability to stand, walk, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Perform repetitive motions to support canning operations.
Travel Requirements:
Availability to travel 2-3 days per week alongside the Lead Operator in our box truck. Occasional overnight stays for regional jobs - all travel expenses covered.
