Line QC Technician (Cosmetic Contract Manufacturing)

There are two positions available for the below job description. One will be assigned to day shift, and the other will be assigned to swing shift (3:00pm-11:00pm).

LINE QC TECHNICIAN

Position Summary The Line QC Technician is responsible for ensuring that all in‑process and finished cosmetic products meet established quality, safety, and regulatory requirements in accordance with

Good Manufacturing Practices. This role provides real-time quality oversight on the production floor, verifies compliance with approved specifications, and supports the prevention of nonconforming product through proactive monitoring and documentation. Key Responsibilities In‑Process Quality Control

• Perform line checks at defined frequencies, including weight, fill level, torque, appearance, labeling, and packaging integrity.
• Monitor equipment settings, line parameters, and changeovers to ensure compliance with validated processes.
• Conduct first-article inspections at the start of each run and after any interruption or adjustment. Documentation & Traceability
• Complete all QC records, checklists, and batch documentation in real time.
• Ensure correct lot numbers, expiration dates, and label versions are used on all components.
• Report deviations, nonconformances, or out-of-specification results immediately to Quality Management.
• Support batch record review by ensuring all required QC verifications are complete and accurate. Production Line Oversight
• Observe operators and line workers for adherence to GMP, hygiene, gowning, and contamination-prevention practices.
• Verify the cleanliness and readiness of equipment and work areas before production begins.
• Confirm proper segregation of components, WIP, and finished goods to prevent mix-ups.
• Ensure that only approved and released materials are present on the line. Quality & GMP Compliance

requirements related to documentation, cleanliness, equipment use, and product handling.

• Participate in line clearance activities during product changeovers.
• Identify quality risks on the floor and escalate issues promptly. Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Production and Quality teams to resolve issues quickly.
• Provide feedback to operators and line associates to prevent recurring defects.
• Assist in training production staff on quality expectations and GMP behaviors. Qualifications
• Experience in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food, or other GMP-regulated manufacturing preferred.
• Strong understanding of ISO 22716 or similar quality systems.
• Ability to perform inspections with close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in enforcing quality requirements. Physical & Work Environment Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods and move between production lines.
• Work in manufacturing areas with exposure to fragrances, powders, and heated equipment.
• Use of PPE required (gowning, hairnets, gloves, safety glasses).
