Job Description:
The Blender Operator will be responsible for preparing and mixing ingredients for liquid filling production. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in the chemical industry including reading and following batch sheets, along with outstanding attention to detail, reliability, physical stamina, good documentation skills and the ability to learn quickly in a heavily regulated chemical/cleaning industry safe environment. This position reports directly to the Plant Supervisor and works closely with the quality assurance department.Typical Schedule:
Full-time Starting pay $16 per hour(based on experience) Plus $2 (2nd shift premium) plus $1 bonus premium for attendance 10 -hour shift Monday-Thursday 6AM-4PM (Fridays when needed for Overtime) 10-hour shift Monday-Thursday 4PM-2AM (Fridays when needed for Overtime)Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow production schedule, review orders, report priority sequence and report deviation to Manager According to the formula, pick, weigh, and stage the required raw materials from the warehouse and follow work order manufacturing instructions for blending batches. Completely and accurately fill out the production documents with initials. Collect the required samples according to the work order instructions for testing by QC. Report any deviation from procedures to the Manager. Follow GMP, safety guidelines and procedures. Actively participates in cleaning and sanitation protocols by preparing the plant using daily, weekly, monthly, cleaning procedures. Other duties as required. Education, Training and/orWork Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. Willing to train the perfect candidate Ideally, two to Three years related experience and /or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in similar industry.BUT NOT REQUIRED
. Forklift certification is a plus, but not required. Will train to get certified through the company.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
Must be able to understand SOP's, and job specific work instructions. Ability to manage time and maintain a high level of physical activity. Frequently stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to communicate with all employees and contractors. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Basic mathematical skills required. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively and remain organized in daily tasks. Ability to work individually and within team environments. Ability to understand compounding, mixing, and filtration. Completes required batch documentation records. Assist in the handling, dispensing and sampling of hazardous raw materials.
