Overview Literacy Assessment Coordinator Stetson School, an
Affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation Pay Range:
$59,980 to $75,730 (based on MA teacher license level) New Hire Sign on Bonus $10,000 for fully licensed applicants /$5,000 for applicants requiring a licensure waiver! We are seeking a collaborative and student-centered Literacy and Assessment Coordinator to support the academic growth and literacy development of students within a highly individualized educational setting. This role provides targeted reading instruction through individualized and small-group support while partnering closely with teachers to develop meaningful, accessible learning experiences tailored to diverse learning needs. The Literacy and Assessment Coordinator will also oversee the coordination and administration of all state-mandated assessments, helping ensure students are supported both academically and developmentally in reaching their goals. 3 weeks in your first year! Vacation Cash-Out Option 3 Paid Personal Days 11 Paid Holidays Accrued Paid Sick Time Responsibilities Assists Intake classroom teacher with student initial educational assessments upon admission to Stetson School.

Works with classroom teachers to identify students requiring specialized reading instruction.

Uses individual student assessment data to develop appropriate reading intervention plans.

Establishes procedures for recording/reporting individual student reading progress.

Supervises, assists in, and documents progress of individual student reading intervention plans.

Coordinate/facilitates all state mandated testing, including alternative assessments.

Develops and implements reading program for individual and small groups.

Collaborates with classroom teachers to identify/implement specific strategies to improve reading of all students.

Reports quarterly to teachers regarding individual student progress.

Implements, monitors and evaluates the reading program.

Participates in IEP Team meetings for reading students as needed.

Writes and implements IEP goals and objectives as needed.

Works with the Education Director to develop and implement appropriate professional development activities specific to reading for teachers.

Consults with and coaches classroom teachers in reading instruction as needed.

Assists teachers in the adaptation/modification of reading instructional materials and curriculum.

Keeps informed of educational innovations and trends.

Serves as a consultant in the selection of instructional supplies, equipment and books specific to reading instruction.

Trains all teachers in facilitating annual standardized assessments.

Conducts agency trainings specific to assessment as needed.

Supervises and evaluates assigned teachers. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in education or related field from four-year university. Masters preferred.

Minimum of two (2) years of classroom experience in reading instruction or English/Literature.

Professional experience and utilization of standardized assessments such as Woodcock-Johnson III-ACH (WJ-III-ACH), Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement II (KTEA II), Comprehensive Test of Phonological Processing (CTOPP), and informal assessments.

Proficient in Microsoft WordValid Massachusetts' driver's license
Valid Massachusetts Educator License:
Reading Specialist (K-12)
