Job Description

Are you passionate about helping local businesses and farms grow and thrive? Harvest Bank is seeking a motivated, community-oriented Loan Officer to join our team. Depending on the successful candidate's background, this position will include a sizable portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who values relationship banking, understands the unique needs of agricultural and commercial borrowers, and wants to make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve. A solid underwriting background is a plus. As part of a locally owned and operated bank with deep roots in Central Minnesota, you will have the autonomy to develop customer relationships while working with a collaborative and experienced team. Key Responsibilities Business Development Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and agricultural borrowers to identify and pursue lending and deposit growth opportunities Cultivate a referral network by building relationships with area business professionals Engage in networking events and community activities to promote the bank's services Support the economic health and development of our trade area Loan Origination and Underwriting Develop, manage, and grow a loan portfolio Analyze loan applications, review financial statements, and assess creditworthiness Structure loans with appropriate terms and prepare proposals for approval Deliver customized lending solutions with integrity and insight Portfolio Management Monitor and manage a loan portfolio to ensure compliance and performance Collaborate with clients to address challenges and explore restructuring options as needed Compliance and Reporting Ensure all loan activities align with the bank's policies and regulatory requirements Maintain accurate documentation and provide regular reports to management Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, agricultural business, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of lending experience Strong understanding of agriculture, financial analysis, and credit underwriting Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills Proficiency in loan origination systems and Microsoft Office Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Benefits and Compensation Competitive salary: $90,000
