Job Description

CNC is looking for a responsible, organized, and safety-conscious driver to join our team. In this role, the driver will pick up materials and transport them between vendor locations, as well as make deliveries directly to customer facilities. We're looking for someone who has a proven track record of safe, skillful driving. Candidate must have a
CLASS A CDL.
Our Driver will ensure the safe delivery of product to and from plant to customers and vendors. You will work with management to understand what product they need to load and deliver, and map out the most efficient route to get that done. You will be responsible for loading product on and off truck or trailer, helping palletize and wrap product before delivery. You will be responsible for handling paperwork such as signed Bill of Ladings, checks and other documents. You will be responsible for maintenance and safety checks on truck and trailer, and alert management if something needs to be addressed. Our driver must follow traffic laws and keep vehicle fueled and clean on each trip. Objectives of this role
  • Deliver or pick up materials to designated locations in a timely fashion
  • Comply with all traffic laws and company safety regulations
  • Maintain a clean and operational vehicle
  • Represent the company positively and professionally in interactions with customers, vendors and the general public
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the local area and the most efficient routes Responsibilities
  • Operate company vehicles to make pickups and deliveries
  • Help with loading and unloading vehicles, including wrapping and palletizing product
  • Complete pre- and post-trip safety and operations checklists and documentation
  • Use navigational technology to find and follow optimal routes
  • Assist with regular vehicle inspections, arranging maintenance when necessary
  • Refuel vehicles and ensure they're always clean and ready for use Required skills and qualifications
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record for at least three years
  • Ability to drive for extended periods
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Excellent navigational skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills Preferred skills and qualifications
  • Valid commercial driver's license
  • Experience driving in a professional capacity
  • Experience using GPS technology
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance
  • Familiarity with the local area

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
