Umicore's expertise covers the sourcing, production and distribution of cobalt and nickel products. Umicore's materials are at the heart of products we use every day such as rechargeable batteries, tools, paints and tyres. Our recycling and refining processes give new life to cobalt and other metals and reduce environmental impacts. To meet the demands of our customers we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new ideas. Which is where you come in. Your Key Accountabilities As our Local Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for transporting raw materials and finished goods between our warehouse and manufacturing plant in LaVergne, Tennessee. Specifically, this will include: Inspecting equipment; Properly placarding equipment; Maintaining shipping paperwork and delivery documentation; Weighing and ensuring proper cleaning of tankers and trucks; Verifying trailers and tankers are properly secured for loading and unloading; Moving tankers and truckloads of material safely over the road in compliance with applicable regulations and requirements; Communicating with production and shipping on scheduling; Assisting with warehouse material moves as needed; Other duties as needed. Who we are looking for Our success is based on individuals who are ready to make the most of their skills and prepared to tackle any challenge they face. For this position, you should have the following skills and qualifications: Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent Class A CDL Tanker and hazmat endorsements Valid DOT medical certificate At least 2 years' commercial driving experience Acceptable driving history Any additional qualifications required by the DOT Forklift experience (preferred) Additional Information This position is located at the Palm Commodities International, LLC facility. The facility is a Drug-Free Workplace, and pre-employment drug testing is required. Our Local Shuttle Drivers are paid on an hourly basis and eligible for overtime. Standard work hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday. Benefits are available starting the first of the month after hire. We offer an excellent benefits package, including health insurance options, vision insurance, dental insurance, company paid life insurance and short/long-term disability insurance, voluntary critical illness and accident insurance, and a 401K Plan with employer matching and profit sharing eligibility. Employees are also eligible for regular bonuses. We recognize 12 paid holidays per year and provide three weeks' vacation plus paid sick time annually.
