Job description Description This contract position is an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking to make a significant impact in a medical practice focused on neurosurgical care. You will work on-site, collaborating with a team of skilled healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality neurosurgical services, assisting in both surgical and outpatient settings. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing, treating, and managing patient conditions related to neurosurgery. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations Assist in surgical procedures and provide post-operative care Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the surgical team Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary Educate patients and families about neurosurgical procedures and recovery Maintain accurate and detailed patient records Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance patient outcomes Stay updated on the latest advancements in neurosurgery and medical practices Requirements Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant license Experience in a neurosurgery or surgical environment is preferred Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Knowledge of patient care and safety protocols Commitment to continuing education and professional development Must be able to work on-site as required by the position
Schedule:
3 OR shifts and 1-2 clinic shifts per week
Setting:
50% OR, 40% outpatient, 10% inpatient
Daily Census:
2-3 OR cases or 12-18 clinic patients
Support Staff:
Neurosurgeon EMR:
Epic Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses
