Job Description

Logistics Coordinator Hamlet, NC 28345 Full-time Full-time Overview The Logistics Coordinator's main role will be to ensure that materials and products are moving in and out of the facility in a safe, well-organized, and timely manner. In support of operations, the Logistics Coordinator will coordinate traffic, assist with prioritization of loading/unloading activities, work and communicate with various key personnel across multiple functions. The Logistics Coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring that company railcars, trailers, chassis, ISO tanks and related equipment are in safe operating condition and in compliance with applicable regulations. General Functions Assist loading operations with inbound and outbound truck traffic as needed Record all deviations in shipping Assist loader with any questions regarding paperwork Coordinate trailer inspection, and manage items related to DOT compliance Communicate information between customer service, drivers, and operations Manage ISO tanks, and chassis o Schedule maintenance, inspections and testing as needed Create, execute, and develop procedures related to position functions Other projects and tasks related to shipment functions Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience Four years of experience with related, or comparable duties is preferred. However, an applicant with distinct experience will be considered if they demonstrate to possess the abilities to successfully execute this position's functions. In order to perform some aspects of this position the individual must be able to work with Microsoft Office, Windows OS, Oracle, and web-based software. Additional In order to be successful in this position the ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Additionally, this person will need to be self-directed, action oriented, and comfortable making decisions on their own, as the day-to-day activities of this position will be minimally supervised. The individual must also be comfortable operating and working around large equipment. Duties will require a moderate amount of physical activity such as walking, lifting, and climbing. Work Conditions Most of this positions functions and duties will be performed indoors, approximately 85% indoors and 15% outdoors, year-round. Reporting Reports to
