The Logistics Coordinator is a key member of the operations team which facilitates the efficient and timely movement of goods worldwide. The dynamic nature of this team requires individuals who can think quickly, act independently, and proactively solve problems before they arise. Strong customer service skills and effective communication are required.
Responsibilities:
Enhance customer relationships by identifying areas for improvement in the overall customer experienceDevelop and maintain relationships with cross-functional departments, as well as carriers, vendors, and other service providersCommunicate with customers in person and/or through calls, emails, digital platforms and ticketing systemsProcess shipping requests, generate internationally-compliant documents and manage shipment exceptions according to SLATracking & monitoring inbound/outbound shipments ensuring to meet KPIs and OKRs as agreed to with the clientCoordinate and collaborate with multiple parties including customer stakeholders, warehouses, carriers, service providers and onsite team members to resolve any issues that may arise and escalate as necessaryMaintain knowledge of customer and company policies on all aspects of product movementIdentify and suggest corrective actions for ongoing incidents, delivery issues, opportunities and SOPsIdentify and articulate process improvement ideas to support operations and projectsCreate documented process for customers when requested - SOP/SWI creationSupport the implementation of company's culture within the teamWork towards individual and department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Stay up to date with the best practices and techniques in supply chain and proactively apply new knowledge to improve processesWork with Wing planners and project managers to agree delivery schedules and create plans to support on time deliveryWork with clients to understand Dangerous Goods (DG) requirements and gather necessary documentationCollaborate with the different vendors and partner teams to collect Asbestos lettersOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent working experience1-2 years of experience in logistics and/or high volume customer service rolesFluent in English; excellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsStrong organizational, communication and problem-solving skillsSelf-starter with the ability to triage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentAnalytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisionsPossesses a positive, can-do attitudeStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google WorkspaceAdditional InformationExpeditors offers excellent benefits:
