Job Description
Scope of Work:
ServicePoint has a customer seeking a Low Voltage Technician for a 3-month 100% onsite position located in Abernathy, TX. This would be standard business hours, working 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday. Our client is working on low-voltage cabling, installing TVs, setup workstations, setup conference rooms with Logitech Rally kits. Client needs one full time resource in Abernathy, TX ( about 18 miles from Lubbock) for a minimum of 3 months. They would need to be OSHA-10 certified.Key Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber a plus) Mount and install TVs, monitors, and digital displays Set up and configure workstations, including hardware deployment and basic connectivity Install and support conference room technology, including Logitech Rally and similar AV systems Assist with rack and stack, cable management, and equipment organization Troubleshoot basic connectivity and hardware issues Coordinate with remote teams and project stakeholders to ensure timely completion of site work Maintain documentation of installations and updates Pulling/terminating Cat5e/Cat6 (bonus if fiber) Mounting TVs, running cables cleanly, rack & stack Conference room setups (Logitech Rally is ideal, but any AV system works) Shows up consistently (this is rural-ish, not a quick commute for most) Willing to do a mix of tasks (cabling, mounting, light IT, cleanup)Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in low voltage cabling and/or IT hardware installation Must be OSHA-10 Certified Experience installing and supporting AV equipment (TVs, conference room systems, etc.) Familiarity with workstation setup (PCs, monitors, peripherals) Ability to read basic diagrams, floor plans, or cabling layouts Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on-site Reliable transportation and ability to work fully onsite inAbernathy, TX Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Logitech Rally or similar conference room solutions Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, connectivity troubleshooting) Experience working in structured cabling environments Certifications such as BICSI, CompTIA A+, or similar (nice to have, not required)Soft Skills:
Strong communication and coordination skills Self-starter with the ability to manage day-to-day tasks with minimal supervision Dependable and consistent (key for long-term onsite presence) Problem-solving mindset with a get it done attitudeSimilar remote jobs
