Meet The Nerds That Care. About the Role We are seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Low‑Voltage Technician to join our operations team. This role focuses on the installation, service, and troubleshooting of low‑voltage systems across commercial and active construction sites. The ideal candidate takes pride in clean workmanship, communicates professionally, and consistently delivers high‑quality results. Key Responsibilities Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low‑voltage systems, including: Structured cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A) Security camera systems and NVRs Access control systems Audio/visual equipment and supporting infrastructure Network racks, patch panels, cable management, and device terminations Read and interpret wiring diagrams, construction drawings, and site plans. Perform site assessments and recommend practical, effective solutions. Label, test, and document all installed systems and service work. Work safely and efficiently in both active construction sites and occupied commercial spaces. Communicate clearly with clients, project managers, and internal teams. Maintain a clean, organized work area and professional jobsite presence. Qualifications 3+ years of hands‑on experience in low‑voltage installation, structured cabling, or a related technical field. Strong understanding of low‑voltage standards, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques. Experience working in both construction and commercial environments. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, cable testers, and diagnostic equipment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, working overhead, and performing demanding tasks. Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and customer‑service mindset.
