Job Description We are excited to invite a passionate and experienced Daycare Helper to join our team! Homes for the Homeless (HFH) is searching for an experienced Daycare Helper for our Families w/ Children facility in the Soundview area of the Bronx. As the Daycare Helper, you will play a pivotal role in our organization by providing primary care and a comfortable learning environment for children 2-5 years old. • Open the center and assist with attendance and sign-ins.
• Clean center including cubbies, cots, bookcases, bathroom, and laundry.
• Complete daily cleaning log.
• Provide teachers with assistance throughout the day as needed.
• Complete pre-planned activities.
• Serve meals and snacks. Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to work an 8am-4pm shift.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Ability to sit on the floor, bend, and pick up children through the course of an 8-hour shift.
