Job Description

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a specialized nursing opportunity where caring for a medically fragile student is at the heart of your work. This full-time, school-based role is perfect for a compassionate LPN seeking a meaningful, one-on-one assignment. Starting as soon as possible, you'll support a student's academic journey and well-being throughout the full school year. Your day begins at 7:15 AM and concludes by 3:00 PM, providing a predictable schedule. Bus riding is an essential aspect of the job, ensuring the student's safety both to and from school, and offering consistent care in all environments.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Current LPN/LVN license in good standing Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Comfortable working one-on-one with medically fragile children Proficient in individualized care plans, medication administration, and health documentation Strong communication skills with students, families, and school staff Capable of maintaining confidentiality and professionalism CPR/BLS certification (current)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive health care and monitoring for one medically fragile student, including bus transport Administer medications and treatments as specified in the care plan Collaborate with school personnel to facilitate the student's participation in classroom activities Maintain detailed and accurate health records and communicate changes promptly Support the student's safe, inclusive school experience through proactive health management This rewarding opportunity offers the chance to make a direct impact in the life of a young student while engaging with a supportive school community for the entire academic year.
