LPN/RN Charge Nurse

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to oversee patient care in our facility. The Charge Nurse will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing services while managing a team of nursing staff. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a compassionate approach to patient care, particularly for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities to ensure optimal patient care. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor patients' conditions, documenting changes and communicating with healthcare providers as necessary. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies. Train and mentor nursing staff in best practices for patient care, including geriatrics and assisted living settings. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. Assist in the management of patients requiring specialized treatments, such as botulinum toxin treatment. Support families by providing education on care plans and addressing concerns. Requirements Valid nursing license (RN or LPN) in the state of practice. Proven experience in patient care, particularly in senior care or geriatrics. Strong skills in patient assessment and clinical judgment. Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is preferred. Familiarity with inpatient settings and clinic operations is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
