Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Lumper to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our distribution center, ensuring that products are accurately handled and processed for shipping and receiving. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties Load and unload products from trucks and containers using various equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks. Perform order picking tasks with precision, ensuring that items are selected according to customer specifications. Utilize RF scanners to track inventory movement and maintain accurate records within the warehouse management system. Assist in materials handling by organizing products within the warehouse for optimal accessibility. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols. Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment and machinery, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary. Participate in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required, demonstrating physical capability to manage substantial loads. Experience Previous experience in warehouse distribution or similar roles is highly desirable. Familiarity with order picking processes and equipment operation including cranes, forklifts, and pallet jacks. Experience in materials handling and knowledge of warehouse management systems is a plus. Background in construction or heavy equipment operation can be beneficial. Understanding of OSHA standards related to warehouse safety is essential. Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.
