Machine Maintenance Mechanic

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Machine Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing facility team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will help minimize downtime, improve safety standards, and support continuous production processes. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong background in industrial maintenance with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using precision measuring instruments, schematics, and technical manuals. Conduct repairs on various machinery such as conveyors, presses, mixers, and other production line equipment. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose control system faults and implement fixes. Maintain accurate maintenance records using our in-house program. Operate field service tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, low voltage testers, and high voltage testing devices to diagnose electrical issues. Support safety initiatives by adhering to industry standards for high voltage work and electrical safety protocols. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize machine performance and minimize downtime. Use schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems efficiently. Skills Extensive experience working in a manufacturing facility environment with industrial mechanic expertise. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and industrial electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage applications. Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and CMMS software for maintenance planning and documentation. Ability to operate scissor lifts safely for elevated maintenance tasks. Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing mechanical or electrical failures quickly and accurately. Experience working in field service roles within manufacturing or industrial settings. Fluency in English with strong communication skills for customer service interactions within internal teams or external vendors. Knowledge of industrial electrician practices combined with military experience is a plus for handling high-voltage systems safely.
