The position offers stable, long-term work on 2nd shift in a climate-controlled facility with clear opportunities for progression. Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment involved in creating sugar spheres by mixing sugar, starch, and water according to established procedures. Follow strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations at all times. Inspect products and packaging visually to help ensure quality, correct labeling, and adherence to specifications. Support packaging, labeling, and inspection activities as needed to meet production schedules and quality standards. Use a forklift to move raw materials, in-process product, and finished product safely around the plant, following all safety and material-handling procedures. Lift and move materials up to 50 pounds multiple times per day and, once trained, assist with handling larger containers and barrels. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area in accordance with GMP and safety guidelines. Work effectively in a deadline-intensive environment, supporting occasional overtime and mandated six-day work weeks when production schedules require it. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and continuously improve processes. Follow all safety rules, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to facility policies. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to perform basic math calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, in support of batching and documentation. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at least 10 times per day and willingness to be trained on handling heavier containers and barrels. Comfort working in a deadline-intensive production environment with occasional overtime and some mandated six-day work weeks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. Ability to accurately document process steps and operating conditions. Reliability and consistency in attendance and adherence to assigned shift hours. Willingness to rotate between different rooms and substations within the plant as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior GMP manufacturing experience is strongly preferred. Forklift experience in a production or warehouse environment is preferred. Experience in packaging, machine operation, labeling, inspection, or production support roles. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with production machinery and monitoring equipment. Backgrounds that have translated well into this environment include CNC machining, biodiesel technician roles, chemical process operations, and technical operator roles in food or related plants. Ability to learn and follow detailed processes and procedures in a highly regulated environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with production staff and leadership. Why Work Here?
