Machine Operator

Production Kiln Operator and General Factory Worker Position:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented factory worker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading our kilns and working on general factory operations. This role requires a strong understanding of machine operations, precision measuring, and instruments, as well as the ability to work productively independently. Duties Load and unload production kilns according to established procedures. Start production kilns firing cycle and shut down production kiln once cycle is completed. Maintain kiln furniture used to fire our dinnerware on the production kilns. Conduct routine maintenance on the production kiln and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow on the selected item mix for a given kiln firing cycle. Follow safety protocols and always maintain a clean working area. Perform general factory work including helping in our mill room and forming departments and our packing department. Skills Previous experience with machinery/equipment; no experience with ceramics required. On the job, ceramic kiln operation training will be provided. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
