Job Description
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an exciting opportunity to make a difference in children's lives as a full-time Occupational Therapist, supporting students aged 5 to 10. This contract role, located near Antioch, IL, allows you to work within educational settings, focusing on helping young learners thrive in their school environment. Your contributions will help students overcome barriers to participation and achieve their fullest potential.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current OT licensure (or eligibility) within Illinois Previous experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school or home health environment Strong knowledge of IEP processes and familiarity with special education laws Effective communication and documentation skills Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teamsKey Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and create individualized treatment plans for students aged 5-10 Deliver occupational therapy sessions in school environments, with potential for home visits as needed Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to develop meaningful interventions Participate in IEP meetings, providing actionable recommendations and progress updates Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district regulations This role offers a rewarding pathway to help children succeed, develop essential life skills, and reach new milestones throughout the school year.
