Machine Operator Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00
PM Payrate:
Hourly 25.00 A machine operator is responsible for setting up and operating rotational mold machines for producing a wide array of plastic products. Job duties include weighing and charging molds with plastic raw material, demolding products after each cycle with the help of jib cranes and impact wrenches, checking the quality of the parts produced and post-process trimming and assembly.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly and up to 100+ lbs utilizing cranes, carts and forklifts. This is a highly physical job that requires working in a hot environment 8 hours per day while continually standing, reaching, bending and pushing/pulling. You will be tasked with putting molds onto the rotational mold shuttle and removing them from time to time as new products are commissioned to be manufactured. This involves getting on your knees and positioning clamps to secure and/or remove the molds to/from the spider utilizing wrenches and other tools. Periodically the molds need cleaned using a vacuum cleaner, brushes, pads, cleaning solvents or scrapers. Some molds also require the application of mold release agent to the inner walls of the molds which involves spraying a towel and applying the mold release manually to mold walls then baking the release agent into the mold.
Qualification:
Dependable in terms of punctuality and work ethic.
  • On the job training and instruction provided! No prior rotomolding experience is required
  • Ability to work in hot environment
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Self-motivated
  • Good hand/eye coordination
  • Able to effectively and consistently follow all safety procedures
  • Prior experience with other forms of machine operation-helpful but not required
  • Willing to provide suggestions to improve production #
ROY Pay:
$25.00 per hour
