Job Description

The Impact You'll Make We have an immediate opening for a 3rd Shift Machinist to join our inclusive team in Freeport, IL. The Machinist will operate and set up conventional, numerical control (NC), and specialized machines and machining centers to accurately machine steel and brass components. The wage range for this position is $27.75 to $29.00 per hour, with an additional 10% shift premium for the 3rd shift. Employees are eligible for benefits on the first day of employment which include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, annual bonus program, paid parental leave for birthing and non-birthing parents, a great working environment including 100% climate-controlled facility and much more! Danfoss offers 3 weeks paid PTO accrued over each bi-weekly paycheck plus 13 paid holidays including annual paid shutdown week between Christmas and New Year's. Follows procedures, control plans, and quality standards; operates machines efficiently. Assesses situations fairly and makes timely performance-enhancing decisions. Organizes and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines and anticipate challenges. Uses innovative strategies to resolve issues and optimize resources. Completes Total Productive Environment activities and keeps necessary tools. What We're Looking For A high school diploma or GED is required; alternatively, candidates may have one to three years of relevant experience and/or training , or a comparable combination of education and experience. Capable of reading and interpreting documents like safety regulations, operating and maintenance manuals, and procedural guides. Proficient in performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across all units of measure, utilizing whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
