Job Title:
CNC Milling Machinist (Swing Shift & Night Shift) Position Summary We are currently looking for a talented CNC Milling Machinist to support our swing shift operations. This role focuses on producing precision components for aerospace and defense applications, including complex structural parts. You will work primarily with advanced 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining centers, contributing to both commercial aviation and defense-related programs. Primary Responsibilities Operate vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines with 3, 4, and 5-axis capabilities Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to ensure parts meet design requirements Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and height gauges Set up machines by installing fixtures, vises, tombstones, and work-holding equipment Utilize mathematical skills including geometry and trigonometry to support machining processes Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency Required Qualifications Solid experience operating CNC milling equipment (multi-axis preferred) Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T callouts Proficiency with standard inspection tools and measurement techniques Strong understanding of shop math fundamentals Preferred Experience Background in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments Familiarity with Makino MAG series machines is a plus Experience machining aluminum and other metals used in high-performance components Open to training candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn What We Offer We provide a competitive compensation package along with comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and life insurance coverage, as well as a 401(k) plan with company matching. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
