This role involves operating machining equipment and performing MIG and aluminum welding to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components according to blueprints and specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with MIG aluminum welding, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, operating fabrication tools, maintaining quality standards, and following all safety procedures.

• 330pm pay rate: 27-31 DOE Duties Operate within an R D machine shop environment to fabricate and test prototype lift gate components and assemblies Perform manual machining using mills and lathes Conduct MIG welding on aluminum and steel materials Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, welding standards, and engineering specifications Fabricate and assemble prototype parts from engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions Safely operate shop equipment including forklifts, plasma cutters, drill presses, band saws, grinders, torches, and hand tools Handle heavy equipment and materials safely while maintaining quality and safety standards Qualifications Combined experience as a machinist and aluminum/steel welder required Minimum 5 years of manual machining experience using mills and lathes Certified machinist preferred; proof of training required Minimum 5 years of MIG welding experience with aluminum and steel required Certified welder preferred Ability to read, write, and speak English Strong understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions Hydraulics, liftgate, or truck mechanic experience is a plus Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and follow all safety procedures #
