Mailroom Assistant

We are looking for a dependable Mailroom Assistant to support daily mail operations for a Contract position based in Downers Grove, Illinois. This role focuses on maintaining an organized flow of incoming and outgoing correspondence while providing float coverage as needed during scheduled periods. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling routine mailroom tasks, works efficiently in a fast-paced setting, and takes pride in accuracy and timely delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Sort, organize, and distribute incoming mail to the appropriate departments and recipients each day.
• Prepare outgoing correspondence and packages for pickup, shipment, or internal delivery.
• Provide coverage for scheduled mailroom shifts and assist with floating support when needed.
• Maintain an orderly mailroom environment so materials, supplies, and deliveries are easy to track.
• Handle daily mail processing tasks with attention to timing, labeling, and proper routing.
• Coordinate internal mail delivery to ensure documents and packages reach the correct locations promptly.

The salary range for this position is $16 to $17. Benefits available to contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
