Maintenance and Facility Handyman

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks for the Pitt Training Facility. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong attention to detail, capable of handling multiple projects efficiently. The Handyman will ensure that property is well-maintained, safe, and functional, contributing to the overall satisfaction of clients and property owners. A large part of this role will be oversee and be the certified pool operator for the hot tub and cold tub at the facility. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, drywall, flooring, and fixtures Install appliances, fixtures, doors, windows, and cabinetry as needed Perform painting, carpentry, and general handyman tasks to improve property condition Respond promptly to repair requests and prioritize urgent issues Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition Collaborate with clients or property managers to assess project scope and provide recommendations Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes Experience Experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role preferred Knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and general repairs required Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and implement effective solutions Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Valid driver's license is a plus for travel between job sites Prior experience working independently or as part of a team is advantageous Being a certified pool operator and background in the fields would be a big plus. $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
