We are currently seeking an experienced, high-level A&P Mechanic with an active Inspection Authorization (IA) to join our maintenance team at Chandler Municipal Airport (CHD). Key Responsibilities Inspections & Airworthiness:
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, 100-hour inspections, and annuals on flight school aircraft. Inspect, sign off, make aircraft logbook entries, and approve aircraft for return to service in strict accordance with FAA regulations (Title 14 CFR Parts 43 & 91) and company procedures.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
Perform complex diagnostic troubleshooting, structural repairs, and component overhauls on light GA aircraft.
Workflow & Priority Management:
Work independently to manage daily maintenance workflows, prioritize tasks based on flight school schedules, and ensure minimal aircraft downtime.
Regulatory & Technical Compliance:
Read, interpret, and apply technical data including maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, engineering drawings, Service Bulletins (SBs), and Airworthiness Directives (ADs). Maintain maintenance tracking digital records via Microsoft Office and Talon RMS.
Safety & Standards:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop floor while adhering to strict environmental and safety regulations.
Requirements & Qualifications Mandatory Requirements Active FAA Certifications:
Must possess a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License AND an active Inspection Authorization (IA) at the time of hire.
General Aviation Experience:
Minimum of 3 recent, consecutive years of dedicated General Aviation (GA) aircraft maintenance experience as a certificated A&P.
Regulatory Knowledge:
In-depth working knowledge of Title 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91.
Preferred Pluses Aircraft Experience:
Direct experience performing inspections and maintenance on Piper Archers (PA-28) or Cessna 172s.
Avionics Familiarity:
Hands-on experience with Garmin G1000 glass cockpit systems.
Software Literacy:
Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with digital maintenance tracking systems (e.g., Talon RMS).
