EDUCATION AND OR WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required Associate degree strongly preferred, Bachelor's degree or equivalent a plus Minimum of 5 years overall aircraft maintenance experience Minimum of 5 years structures and sheet metal experience preferred, including modification and heavy maintenance environments Experience supporting modification, MRO, refurbishment, and return to service on complex aircraft required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Perform aircraft structural repair, modification, and assembly tasks as assigned o Fabricate, fit, and install sheet metal parts and structural components to engineering and OEM specifications o Perform layout, drilling, reaming, countersinking, riveting, and fastener installation to required tolerances o Perform removal and installation of skins, panels, access doors, brackets, fittings, and structural assemblies as required o Perform structural repairs in accordance with approved data, including
SRM, OEM
instructions, and engineering direction o Identify, assess, and repair corrosion and damage, including support for blend outs and structural restoration where applicable o Conduct hidden damage inspections and document findings per procedure o Use precision measuring tools and approved tooling, jigs, and fixtures to ensure proper alignment and fit o Support disassembly and reassembly tasks required for return to service activities o Ensure all work performed on any aircraft or component is in compliance with applicable airworthiness standards and OEM instructions, company policies and procedures, and regulated safety standards o Ensure all replacement parts are inspected, eligible, and properly certified prior to installation o Ensure removed parts are properly tagged and routed to quarantine as required o Complete and certify work reports and maintenance documentation for all work accomplished on the aircraft o Follow company procedures per the maintenance control manual using safe work practices o Carry out both line and heavy maintenance activities in accordance with operational standards o Carry out Independent Checks when authorized per company policies and procedures o Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures o Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor As an employee, you are responsible for: o Working in compliance with all applicable Occupational Health and Safety acts and regulations o Following safe work practices and procedures and using safeguards and personal protective equipment as necessary and when required o Reporting any hazards or potential safety risks to a supervisor immediately o Working under pressure and meeting deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service o Working independently and carrying assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
SKILLS AND OR QUALIFICATIONS
Proven track record of success working on complex assignments requiring considerable judgment, initiative, and technical specialized knowledge Strong return to service mindset, detail oriented, and quality driven documentation habits Able to work well in a team and within a fast paced environment Motivated, self starter able to carry out tasks with minimal supervision Strong problem solving abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to interpret blueprints, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, and technical data
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS FAA
Airframe and Power Plant license preferred but not required Equivalent military or civilian aircraft maintenance experience accepted Structures related training or certifications a plus Composite repair experience a plus Requirements
