Director of Maintenance Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Controller's role involves managing aircraft maintenance, ensuring safety and compliance, and monitoring aircraft status to maintain smooth operations. They use maintenance tracking software to spot and track issues and verify airworthiness. A solid background in aircraft maintenance and aviation regulations is essential, along with strong and effective communication skills for working with different teams.
Objective:
Serve as the primary liaison between maintenance and flight operations, as well as other departments, ensuring clear communication of aircraft status and maintenance needs.
Duties:
Provide updates on maintenance status, action plans, and estimated return-to-service times. Act as the primary contact and oversee maintenance of company aircraft away from the maintenance base through contracted maintenance. Provide maintenance planning in the issuance and tracking of scheduled maintenance workload. Coordinates scheduled and unscheduled maintenance performed on company aircraft. Ensure maintenance is performed safely, reliably, and efficiently. Act as the main point of contact for maintenance communication with other departments. Ensure that all deferrals are completed in accordance with company manuals and FARs. Ensure mechanical delays are handled safely and promptly in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual. Update the Computerized Maintenance Tracking Program with verified compliance information using audited return-to-service documentation, such as updating hours and cycles in CAMP and Jet Insight. Keep maintenance and flight operations informed about scheduled and unscheduled (AOG) maintenance needs. Fulfills other duties as assigned by leadership

The Maintenance Controller may approve aircraft for return to service
Qualifications:
A solid background in aircraft maintenance and aviation regulations is essential, along with strong and effective communication skills for working with different teams. An Airframe and Powerplant certificate is required for this role.
