Role Description The Aircraft Detailing Specialist is a part-time, on-site role based in Sacramento, CA, responsible for performing detailed cleaning and cosmetic maintenance on a variety of aircraft. Day-to-day tasks include exterior washing and coating painted surfaces, polishing aircraft paint and brightwork, cleaning and refinishing de-ice boots, and cleaning and polishing aircraft windows. Interior responsibilities involve vacuuming and shampooing carpets, wiping and sanitizing surfaces, treating leather and upholstery, and ensuring cabins and cockpits are clean, organized, and ready for use. The role requires following safety and industry standards, using appropriate tools and chemicals, documenting work performed, and communicating clearly with supervisors, clients, and airport staff. This position also involves working around aircraft on the ramp, adhering to airport regulations, and maintaining equipment and supplies in clean, safe condition. Qualifications Previous aviation-related experience strongly preferred (student pilot, aircraft mechanic, line service professional, etc.) Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality cleaning and cosmetic finishes on aircraft interiors and exteriors. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, adhere to safety procedures, and comply with airport and ramp operational guidelines. Physical capability to stand, bend, lift, and work on ladders or platforms for extended periods, and to work in varying outdoor conditions. Reliable transportation and punctuality, with flexibility for varying schedules and occasional extended, evening, night, early morning, or weekend hours as needed. Effective communication skills, professional customer service approach, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and protective gear; willingness to learn proper use for aircraft-specific applications. Previous experience in aviation detailing, aviation, or related service roles is preferred. those with automobile detailing backgrounds are not suggested to apply.
