Full Job Description Position Summary:

Telspan Data is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team supporting the production of sophisticated ground-based and airborne systems for the defense, aerospace, and flight-test industries. This is a hands-on technical position for an experienced manufacturing professional who is comfortable taking ownership of complex electro-mechanical builds, working independently, troubleshooting hardware issues, and collaborating directly with Engineering to solve problems. The successful candidate will bring more than just assembly experience. We are looking for someone who understands "how and why hardware works", can recognize when something isn't right, and has the technical judgment and experience to help determine the appropriate solution. The position involves the assembly, integration, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection of electronic and mechanical hardware, including ruggedized chassis, printed circuit boards (PCBs), cables, connectors, and related avionics and instrumentation hardware. Because Telspan Data operates as a specialized aerospace and defense manufacturer, this position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to work from detailed engineering documentation while maintaining high standards for workmanship and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Independently perform complex electro-mechanical assembly while collaborating with Engineering when technical direction or clarification is needed. Assemble and integrate electronic and mechanical hardware, including chassis, PCBs, cables, connectors, fasteners, and related components. Perform precision soldering, electronic rework, PCB repair, cable fabrication, connector assembly, and crimping. Troubleshoot hardware and assembly issues, diagnose failures, identify root causes, and help determine corrective actions. Read and interpret work orders, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical specifications, and manufacturing instructions. Identify and communicate discrepancies or inconsistencies in drawings, BOMs, schematics, and work instructions. Apply ESD-safe practices, specified torque requirements, fastener specifications, tight tolerances, and ruggedized hardware assembly techniques. Support inspection, quality-control, and applicable

processes. Provide hands-on technical guidance and training to other manufacturing personnel. Develop strong knowledge of Telspan Data products and serve as a manufacturing resource for product assembly, troubleshooting, and repair.

Required Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship and (at minimum) High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Minimum of 10 years of relevant electro-mechanical manufacturing or assembly experience, preferably involving sophisticated electronic hardware. Demonstrated experience assembling and working with circuit boards, cables, connectors, and electro-mechanical hardware. Strong soldering, rework, cable fabrication, connector assembly, and crimping skills. Ability to independently read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, Bills of Materials, work orders, and detailed technical instructions. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware and assembly problems rather than relying solely on step-by-step assembly instructions. Experience with ESD-safe practices, mechanical torque specifications, fasteners, tight tolerances, and ruggedized hardware assembly. J-STD-001 and

certification or equivalent demonstrated experience with electronic assemblies, soldering, PCB inspection/repair, and cable/wire harness assemblies. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, repeatable workmanship. Strong computer skills and the ability to work with electronic manufacturing documentation, spreadsheets, reports, and other production-related information. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with Engineering and other technical personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree, equivalent military technical training, trade-school education, or other relevant technical training. Experience within aerospace, defense, avionics, flight-test instrumentation, or another highly regulated technical manufacturing environment. connectors and cable assemblies. Background with PCB troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and rework. Experience working within an

quality-management environment. Previous familiarity with training or providing technical guidance to other manufacturing personnel. Experience working in a small technical manufacturing environment where employees routinely collaborate across Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality functions.

Candidate Evaluation:

As part of the interview and evaluation process, qualified candidates should expect to be asked to complete a hands-on PCB soldering and repair demonstration.

$73,000-$79,000 annual salary , based on experience and qualifications. Year-end bonus potential based on company and individual employee performance.
