SERVICE TECHNICIAN POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Airport Operations & Line Supervisor, and Deputy Director, the Line Service Technician is responsible for fueling and servicing a variety of aircraft, deicing operations, oxygen service, fuel inventory, ground support, and other duties to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the airport. The position requires professionalism, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Fueling and defueling of general aviation and business aircraft. Performing aircraft deicing in accordance with established procedures. Filling onboard aircraft oxygen systems. Providing aircraft services including lavatory service, GPU hookup, baggage handling, and towing. Directing aircraft to parking and securing aircraft as needed. Performing daily inspections of fuel trucks, fueling equipment, and fuel farm facilities. Maintaining inspection logs and processing fuel tickets and sales transactions. Assisting with terminal snow removal. Providing accurate airport information and customer service to pilots and passengers. Operating light and heavy equipment including fuel trucks, snow removal equipment, and tugs. Assisting with janitorial duties and upkeep of terminal and airport facilities. Responding to emergencies and assisting in emergency response as needed. Ensuring ramp and airfield security, including vehicle escorting when required. Performing other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Possession of a valid Colorado driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Capable of lifting 50+ pounds and working on feet for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions. Basic computer and communication skills. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. Must adhere to dress code and maintain a professional appearance. Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.

APPOINTMENT

The Line Service Technician is appointed by the Airport Deputy Director and reports to the Airport Operations & Line Supervisor. This position operates with general supervision and is held accountable for effective fueling and related ground support operations in accordance with all applicable airport policies and FAA regulations.
