Job Summary
Description:

You will be an Electronics Technician II, applying your comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems and maintain, repair, troubleshoot, modify, and install various types of electronic equipment and related devices. Our team is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of electronic systems, and were looking for a skilled and experienced technician to join our team.

What You Will Be Doing

As an Electronics Technician II, you will be responsible for:
  • Interpreting manufacturers manuals and technical documents to solve complex problems
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment, including radar, radio, television, telecommunication, sonar, and navigational aids
  • Installing, modifying, and maintaining electronic systems, including personal and main frame computers and terminals
  • Evaluating performance and reliability of prototype or production mode equipment and recommending changes to simplify assembly and maintenance
  • Reading and interpreting USAF technical orders, service bulletins, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and best method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning systems
  • Providing technical guidance to lower-level technicians and receiving technical guidance from supervisors or higher-level technicians as needed

Further Information About This Opportunity:

This position is in Crestview, FL.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

- This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications:

This work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. Technician must be proficient with using USAF Technical Orders, operating the Data Transfer and Diagnostic System (DTADS), with documenting

AFTO 781

forms and entering data into the Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS). Should possess experience fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses or a variety of electrical components, and equipment associated with aircraft systems functionality. This candidate must also have knowledge of HAZMAT/HAZWASTE, corrosion control, inspection/repair, maintenance inspection, aircraft launch and recovery, aircraft servicing, towing, and jack/shoring of aircraft.

Three (3) years of C-130J flight line aircraft experience. Ability to obtain a secret security clearance therefore must be a US Citizen.

Six (6) years of experience on C-130J aircraft.

Experience inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft avionics and electrical systems (GAC, Com/Nav, EW, Sensors. Electrician).

Previously performed as 7-Level/CDI Aircraft Electronic/Avionics Technician on C-130J aircraft.

Previous APU run certified desired.

Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
