Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for Aircraft Sheet metal Technician Level 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This role will be located on site in Melbourne, Florida. This position is for 1st shift, Monday
- Thursday 6am
- 4:30pm (4-10 schedule)
Essential Functions:
Able to use a variety of fabrication hand tools and precision measuring instruments to make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work. Able to work from blueprints, sketches, work instructions, both written and verbal. Ability to operate various fabrication equipment, such as shear, sheet metal brake, rollers, grinders, and presses. Able to learn and perform other job functions with OJT when required. Mechanical aptitude and ability to think through problems with forming. Basic Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of sheet metal fabrication experience. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance within a reasonable amount of time, not required to start. Ability to follow written, electronic and verbal instructions and work with minimal supervision. Read and understand blueprints Preferred Qualifications Advanced knowledge of flat pattern layout and sheet metal fabricationDoD Secret Clearance Primary Level Salary Range:
$44,400.00- $74,000.
