Job Description
Job Summary Wings Over Kauai, a small, family-owned aviation company, is seeking a full-time Aircraft Mechanic with a current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate. The successful candidate will support all facets of scheduled, unscheduled, and preventive maintenance on the company's GippsAero GA8 Airvans and Cessna 172S aircraft. The position includes performing 50-hour and 100-hour inspections under Part 91, troubleshooting airframe, piston-engine, and electrical discrepancies, correcting maintenance squawks, and completing accurate maintenance records. The mechanic will work with the Wings Over Kauai Director of Maintenance. Compensation will be based on full or part time, experience and quailifications. Primary Responsibilities
- Perform daily, scheduled, unscheduled, and preventive maintenance on company aircraft.
- Conduct and document 50-hour and 100-hour inspections.
- Identify, evaluate, and correct maintenance squawks in a timely and safety-focused manner with DOM Assist.
- Use calibrated hand tools, specialized tools, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation properly.
- Complete maintenance entries, track and schedule all maintenance in compliance with FAA requirements.
- Order Parts Needed and maintain the Parts Inventory.
- Maintain an orderly work area and assist with other duties assigned by the supervisor.
