Job Description
What this role will do
- Perform structural repairs and aircraft structural modifications.
- Drill, ream to close tolerances, rivet, sand, cut, and fabricate structural components using aerospace materials.
- Support aircraft assembly and fabrication tasks with strong quality standards.
- Read and follow assembly instructions, work orders, and blueprints.
- Maintain safe work habits and proper use of tools and support equipment.
- Keep work areas clean and organized and protect customer property throughout all phases of work.
- Communicate professionally with customers and help explain fabrication and assembly tasks when needed.
- Work with limited supervision once trained and maintain a dependable daily work pace. What Phase 1 Aviation is looking for
- 1-3 years of assembly, manufacturing, fabrication, or closely related hands-on experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and consistent focus on quality.
- Ability to read and follow assembly instructions and blueprints.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-first mindset.
- Willingness to learn new tools, processes, and equipment over time.
- Comfortable working in a hangar or shop setting around industrial equipment.
- Strong punctuality, dependability, and personal accountability.
- Good tool discipline, including proper care, organization, and safe use of shop tools and support equipment.
- Ability to stay productive without constant direction and complete work correctly the first time whenever possible. Physical requirements
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, climb, and work at heights.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
