Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Aviation Maintenance Technician and become a vital contributor to ensuring the safety, reliability, and operational excellence of aircraft. In this energetic role, you will perform comprehensive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various aircraft systems, adhering strictly to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Duties Conduct routine inspections and scheduled maintenance on aircraft airframes, engines, avionics, and mechanical systems to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company standards. Perform troubleshooting using engineering diagrams, schematics, CAD (Computer-Aided Design) models, and technical manuals to identify root causes of mechanical or electrical issues. Utilize specialized industrial tools such as torque wrenches, power tools, soldering equipment, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and precision measuring instruments like micrometers and ammeters for accurate repairs. Interpret technical drawings and schematics to facilitate assembly, fabrication, or modification of aircraft components while adhering to AS9100 quality standards. Repair or replace aircraft components including structural elements, electrical wiring, avionics systems, and mechanical assemblies using hand tools and heavy lifting equipment safely. Document all maintenance actions accurately within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for traceability and regulatory compliance. Support flight line maintenance activities by performing quick-turn repairs to minimize downtime during operational hours while following Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). Qualifications Proven experience in aircraft maintenance or related aviation maintenance facility roles with a strong understanding of airframe structures, power plants, avionics, and mechanical systems repair. Proficiency with interpreting schematics, technical drawings. Hands-on experience with electrical systems including soldering, ohmmeters, ammeters, and other precision testing instruments. Ability to operate specialized industrial tools such as torque wrenches, power tools, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), fabricators, and vehicle maintenance equipment safely. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in flight line maintenance or aircraft assembly. Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), aviation safety protocols, and heavy lifting procedures required for aircraft component handling. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis; capable of troubleshooting complex electrical or mechanical issues efficiently. Effective communication skills for interpreting technical documentation and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams. Prior military aviation experience or extensive hands-on experience with aviation systems is preferred but not mandatory.
