About the
Role:
The Aircraft Logs & Records Technician (SCA) plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all aircraft documentation and records. This position is responsible for maintaining detailed logs that track the maintenance, repairs, and operational history of aircraft to support safety and regulatory adnce. The technician collaborates closely with maintenance teams, regulatory bodies, and operational staff to verify that all records meet stringent industry standards and legal requirements. By meticulously managing these records, the technician helps to facilitate smooth audits, inspections, and certifications, tby contributing to the overall airworthiness and reliability of the fleet. Ultimately, this role ensures that all aircraft documentation is precise and accessible, supporting both operational efficiency and safety compliance within the aviation sector.Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with aircraft maintenance records or in an aviation-related documentation role.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and requirements related to aircraft logs and records.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for record management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher in Aviation Maintenance, Aeronautical Science, or a related field.
- Experience with digital aircraft records management systems (e.g., AMOS, Ramco).
- Knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and quality assurance processes.
- Previous experience working in a commercial or military aviation environment.
- Certification related to aircraft maintenance or records management.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update aircraft logs and records in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies.
- Review and verify maintenance and repair documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure timely and accurate recording of all aircraft activities.
- Prepare and organize documentation for regulatory audits and inspections.
- Identify discrepancies or missing information in records and work with relevant teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure secure storage and proper handling of sensitive aircraft documentation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of record-keeping procedures and best practices.
- Support the transition to digital record-keeping systems and ensure data integrity during migration.
Skills:
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Attention to detail is critical for identifying discrepancies and ensuring that all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Proficiency with computer systems and specialized software supports efficient data entry, retrieval, and management of records. Preferred skills:
- Knowledge of digital record-keeping systems and quality assurance processes enhance the technician's ability to streamline workflows and improve data integrity.
- Strong communication and coordination skills are essential for collaborating with maintenance teams and regulatory authorities to resolve issues and prepare for audits.
