Position Overview:
The A&P Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, as well as various inspections on general aviation, turbo prop, and corporate business jet aircraft including Pilatus, Citation, and King Air. Also provides line maintenance for airlines at Portland International Jetport (PWM).
Duties / Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and inspection of aircraft.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned to help NEA attain corporate goals.
Requirements
Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
Troubleshooting skills and knowledge of aircraft mechanical and electrical system functions.
Working knowledge of FAA regulations and inspection procedures.
Ability to pass a DOT FAA pre-employment drug screen and physical.
Hold a valid driver's license.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and written.
Computer proficiency and working knowledge of spreadsheets.
Ability to function well while maintaining accuracy under pressure and time constraints.
Flexibility, as needed, to accommodate external and internal customer needs.
Ability to solve problems independently.
Willingness to accept various shift assignments to include nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
Possess organizational skills, active listening skills, time management, and attention to detail.
Experience maintaining aircraft post A&P certification preferred.
Experience with airline aircraft line maintenance preferred.
Experience with avionics line maintenance preferred.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Ability to lift aircraft components up to 75 lbs.
Physical activity requires walking, climbing, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and stooping.
