The Role The AOG Technician provides rapid-response maintenance and repair support for aircraft that are grounded due to unscheduled maintenance issues. This role is critical to minimizing downtime and ensuring safe return-to-service under high-pressure, time-sensitive conditions. Requirements Key Responsibilities Respond to AOG situations locally or remotely, including travel to aircraft locations as needed. Diagnose and repair mechanical discrepancies under time-critical conditions. Coordinate with Maintenance Control, vendors, and parts suppliers to expedite repairs. Ensure all maintenance actions comply with FAA regulations and company procedures. Accurately document all maintenance performed, including corrective actions and return-to-service approvals. Provide technical guidance to flight crews and operations during AOG events. Maintain readiness of tools, parts kits, and travel documentation for rapid deployment. Support after-hours and on-call rotations. Qualifications Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (required). Legally authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship). 3+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance; AOG or field service experience strongly preferred. Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across multiple aircraft systems. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in high-pressure environments. Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, internet navigation). Familiarity with Citation X and Hawker 800X aircraft (preferred). May require flexible scheduling, including short-notice deployments, evenings, weekends, holidays, on-call expectations, with exposure to varying environmental conditions at remote locations. Solid time management, reliability, and documentation skills. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining safety standards and schedule integrity. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills applied to aircraft systems.
