Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on aircraft airframes, engines, and systems in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and FAA regulations. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and avionics issues through detailed troubleshooting techniques including root cause analysis. Repair or replace aircraft components using hand tools, power tools, specialized industrial tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, ammeters, and torque wrenches. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, CAD models (including CATIA and AutoCAD), and engineering troubleshooting documents to accurately perform repairs or modifications. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document maintenance activities, parts usage, and inspection records ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards. Perform aircraft assembly or disassembly tasks for maintenance or upgrades with attention to detail in sheet metal fabrication and welding processes. Support flight line maintenance operations by performing heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols related to aviation maintenance facility standards. Qualifications Proven experience in aircraft maintenance or related fields such as military aviation or vehicle maintenance with a strong understanding of mechanical systems repair. Hands-on experience working with schematics, technical drawings, CAD software (including CATIA and AutoCAD), and interpreting technical documentation. Knowledge of FAA regulations (including Federal Aviation Regulations), AS9100 quality standards, and aviation safety protocols. Proficiency with electrical systems including avionics troubleshooting using multimeters (ohmmeters, ammeters) and soldering techniques. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, welding equipment, and specialized industrial tools for precise repairs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in a physically demanding environment that requires the use of specialized industrial equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in aerospace manufacturing or aviation maintenance facilities is highly desirable.
