Role Overview:

Join the Interiors Engineering Development Lab (EDL) as an Engineering Services Senior Technician. This role supports engineers in the build, assembly, testing, inspection, and refinement of commercial aircraft seats and furniture . You'll work in a fast-paced engineering test environment where precision, speed, teamwork, and hands-on technical skills are critical. The team operates between tests much like a NASCAR pit crew , with each person responsible for completing their tasks accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with engineers to build, test, and refine commercial aircraft seats and furniture . Prepare and set up test equipment for structural testing. Provide hands-on technical support for engineering and testing activities. Assist with test article builds, test procedures, and evaluation of test results. Use hand tools for assembly and technical tasks. Apply basic mechanical and manufacturing concepts to testing and troubleshooting. Interpret engineering drawings accurately. Document test results and prepare technical reports. Use Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation, data management, and project support. Support test article manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and conformity activities. Work across areas including dynamic testing, life-cycle testing, static load testing, flammability testing, and prototype assembly.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or AA/AS degree or equivalent 2-year post-high-school training . Minimum 4 years of relevant experience for the standard qualification path. Strong mechanical background with hands-on experience using basic hand tools. Automotive, carpentry, woodworking, assembly, or similar hands-on technical experience is valuable. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment .

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a highly regulated industry , especially aerospace or automotive. Hands-on experience in testing and quality assurance environments. Experience with 2D/3D modeling software. Experience operating metal machining and fabrication equipment. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage changing priorities. Experience interpreting engineering drawings.

Pay:

$35.00 - $36.75 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
