  • Job Description
  • This role provides a wide range of aircraft ground services, including marshaling, fueling, towing, hangar storage support, and other ramp operations, while maintaining a safe and orderly ramp environment.
The Line Service Technician meets and directs arriving and departing aircraft, supports lavatory services, and works closely with the team to deliver excellent customer service. The position requires standing for most of the shift, working in all weather conditions, and consistently maintaining a clean and organized work area at an airport facility within driving distance of Morristown Airport.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Meet, greet, and direct arriving aircraft to assigned parking locations in a safe and efficient manner.
+ Assist with directing and marshaling departing aircraft to ensure safe and orderly movement on the ramp. + Fuel aircraft according to established procedures and safety standards. + Perform aircraft towing using tugs and other ground support equipment as required. + Support hangar storage operations, including positioning and securing aircraft in the hangar. + Perform lavatory services on aircraft in accordance with safety and cleanliness guidelines. + Maintain a safe and orderly ramp environment by following all operational and safety protocols. + Work collaboratively with team members to deliver excellent customer service to flight crews and passengers. + Remain on your feet for the majority of the shift and perform physically active tasks throughout the day. + Work in all weather conditions while maintaining a high level of safety and professionalism. + Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including ramp and hangar areas. + Operate tugs and related ground support equipment safely and responsibly. + Communicate clearly with pilots, ground crew, and coworkers to coordinate aircraft movements and services.
  • Essential Skills
  • + 1-2 years of line service experience on aircraft.
+ Experience fueling aircraft in a ramp or hangar environment. + Hands-on experience towing aircraft using tugs or similar ground support equipment. + Ability to marshal aircraft safely, including arriving and departing operations. + General aviation experience working around aircraft and ramp operations. + Ability to stand and remain physically active throughout the entire shift. + Capability to work in all weather conditions while maintaining safety and service quality. + Strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and adherence to procedures. + Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain positive customer service relations.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Prior experience working in a hangar environment. + Familiarity with tug operations and ground support equipment. + Comfort working in a structured, safety-focused aviation environment. + Reliable transportation to commute to Morristown Airport within driving distance.

  • Work Environment
  • This position is based at Morristown Airport, working primarily indoors in a hangar with regular activity on the ramp area.
The schedule follows a first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The role requires working in all weather conditions when performing outdoor ramp duties. The environment is safety-driven and operationally focused, with frequent use of tugs and other ground support equipment around active aircraft. The dress code consists of a T-shirt and work pants, suitable for hands-on, physically active work in an aviation setting.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $52000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
