Job Summary

A&P Mechanic - B777 Line Maintenance

We are seeking experienced A&P Mechanics to support line maintenance operations at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York. This position is responsible for performing aircraft troubleshooting, daily checks, transit inspections, turn checks, and corrective maintenance on Boeing 777 aircraft in a fast-paced airline maintenance environment. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering competitive compensation and the potential for long-term career growth.

• Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as required
  
• Occasional travel may be required to support operational needs
  Key Responsibilities
  
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance on Boeing 777 aircraft
  
• Conduct daily checks, transit inspections, service checks, and turn checks
  
• Troubleshoot and diagnose aircraft mechanical, electrical, avionics, and systems-related discrepancies
  
• Perform repairs, modifications, and component replacements in accordance with approved maintenance data
  
• Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, engineering documents, wiring diagrams, and technical publications
  
• Complete operational tests and functional checks following maintenance actions
  
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with FAA, EASA, customer, and company requirements
  
• Accurately document maintenance actions and complete required records and logbook entries
  
• Coordinate effectively with Maintenance Control, flight crews, operations personnel, and fellow technicians to meet operational requirements
  
• Support AOG events and time-sensitive maintenance situations as needed
  
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment while adhering to all safety policies and procedures
  Qualifications
  
• Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required
  
• Minimum of 2 years of Boeing 777 maintenance experience required
  
• Minimum of 1 year of recent line maintenance experience with emphasis on troubleshooting, daily checks, and turn checks
  
• Valid EASA Part-66 License (B1 and/or B2) or Level III qualification required
  
• Completion of B1/B2 Aircraft Systems Training (minimum 100 hours) required
  
• Valid drivers license required
  
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-isolation skills in a fast-paced operational environment
  
• Ability to read and write English proficiently
  
• Ability to pass airport security background checks and obtain required airport credentials
  
• Must be willing to travel for work as required
  
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments
  Physical Requirements
  
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, crawl, climb, balance, and work in confined or elevated areas
  
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  
• Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment, jet aircraft, loud noise, fumes, airborne particles, and other industrial hazards
  
• Ability to work outdoors and be exposed to varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
  
• Must possess sufficient visual acuity to safely operate equipment and read technical documentation
  Preferred Qualifications
  
• Additional Boeing widebody aircraft experience
  
• Previous international airline or heavy line maintenance experience
  
• Strong knowledge of FAA, EASA, and airline maintenance procedures
  
• Run and taxi qualifications preferred
  
• Prior experience supporting international flight operations and AOG recovery events
  
• Additional aircraft-specific training, certifications, or manufacturer courses preferred
  
• Military aviation maintenance experience applicable to commercial aircraft operations preferred
