Aircraft Mechanic LSP Aircraft Services 312 Airport Road, Gallipolis, OH 45631 From $25 an hour - Full-time From $25 an hour - Full-time Overview Join our dynamic team as an Aircraft Mechanic and become a vital part of ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our fleet. In this energetic role, you will perform comprehensive maintenance, repairs, and inspections on various aircraft systems, utilizing your mechanical expertise and technical skills. Duties Conduct routine and non-routine inspections of aircraft airframes, engines, avionics, and systems in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards. Perform repairs, replacements, and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, CAD drawings, and technical manuals. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, ammeters, ohmmeters, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure components meet strict specifications. Diagnose root cause analysis for equipment malfunctions or failures to develop effective repair strategies. Fabricate or modify sheet metal parts and components using welding, soldering, and other fabrication techniques to meet manufacturing specifications. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for compliance and tracking purposes. Adhere strictly to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), AS9100 quality standards for aerospace manufacturing, and safety protocols during all maintenance operations. Assist in assembly or disassembly of aircraft components during overhaul or repair projects while ensuring proper use of schematics and CAD models. Support heavy lifting operations with appropriate equipment while following safety procedures to prevent injury or damage. Collaborate with team members on continuous improvement initiatives related to aircraft maintenance processes. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience within the aviation or aerospace industry with a strong understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures. Proficiency in reading schematics, technical drawings (CAD), and wiring diagrams related to avionics and electrical systems. Knowledge of FAA regulations (Federal Aviation Regulations) specific to aircraft maintenance is essential. Mechanical knowledge encompassing airframe structures, sheet metal fabrication, welding (including soldering), and power tools operation. Electrical experience including troubleshooting with multimeters (ohmmeters), ammeters, ammeters; familiarity with avionics systems is a plus. Ability to perform precise measurements using micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments accurately. Strong root cause analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively during maintenance activities
