Build and Test American Made UAS Agilis Air is seeking a hands-on technician to assemble, configure, inspect, and flight-test small uncrewed aircraft systems at our North Benton facility. This role is ideal for an experienced RC drone or aircraft builder who takes pride in workmanship, understands flight systems, and enjoys turning components into reliable, mission-ready aircraft. What You Will Do Assemble multirotor drones and related subassemblies using drawings, work instructions, hand tools, fixtures, and production checklists. Solder and inspect wiring, connectors, power systems, motors, electronic speed controllers, flight controllers, radios, cameras, and related electronics. Load and configure open-source autopilot software and firmware; calibrate sensors, radios, control systems, and flight modes. Perform bench tests, functional checks, preflight inspections, controlled test flights, and post-flight evaluations. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, firmware, and flight-performance issues; document results and corrective actions. Maintain accurate build, inspection, test, inventory, and quality records while following company safety and configuration-control procedures. Support prototype builds, product improvements, payload integration, repairs, and other production or flight-test activities as needed. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; two years of college or technical-school training preferred. Proven experience building and flying RC multirotor drones and/or fixed-wing aircraft. Demonstrated soldering ability and experience assembling and troubleshooting electronic and mechanical systems. Ability to follow instructions and work safely with hand tools, electronics, lithium batteries, and flight operations. Must be a U.S. citizen, able to work on-site in North Benton, Ohio. Experience with 3D-printed components, small-UAS repair, FPV systems, GPS-assisted flight, production assembly, or formal flight-test documentation is a plus. Familiarity with open-source autopilots (PX4, ArduPilot) or ground-control software (QGroundControl, Mission Planner) is a plus, too, but not required.
