Job Description

JOB PURPOSE
To accurately repair and perform scheduled maintenance on all airplanes, as well as perform inspections as required by the
FAA. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that company aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition Ensure that retail customers' aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition Accurately complete all inspections, repairs, and component changes and ensure these are completed in accordance with manufacturer or FAA-approved procedures Comply with all maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations Coordinate with maintenance contracting agencies when maintenance activities are being performed on company aircraft Provide Director of Maintenance with the airworthiness status of the aircraft and the forecast down times to facilitate scheduling Maintain all necessary work records and logbooks Comply with all company policies and manager directives regarding safety Track parts used, time spent, and any other billable expense accurately for billing to customer
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A&P
License
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 1
Year of Experience as an A&P Mechanic
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIROMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions and tight spaces with awkward work postures. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. A&P Mechanics will also be required to lift objects of up to 50 pounds in weight, with or withour assistance.
