Job Description

Job Summary

The Aircraft Mechanic services, repairs, and overhauls airframes, engines, propellers, components, and appliances to ensure airworthiness. This role performs troubleshooting, structural and functional repairs, engine inspections, component replacements, operational testing, and required documentation in accordance with approved manuals and regulatory standards. The mechanic supports aircraft maintenance activities, including servicing systems, performing inspections, and ensuring compliance with repair station and customer requirements.

            Required Education & Job Requirements

            • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
            • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
            • A minimum of 3 years of experience on Boeing 737 aircraft.
            • Current, valid Driver's License.
            • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
            • Ability to apply mathematical concepts, including proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, basic algebra, and geometry.
            • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
            • Ability to pass Drug Screen and Background Check. Professional Attributes
            • Eye for precision and attention to detail.
            • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions and resolve standardized problems.
            • Ability to become proficient in company technology and software programs. Preferred Skills
            • Familiarity with Boeing manuals.
            • Boeing 737 General Familiarization Course Certificate. Job Duties & Functions
            • Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and rebuild structural components and functional systems, including rigging, flight controls, plumbing, and hydraulic units.
            • Read and interpret OEM and supplemental technical manuals, service bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and other specifications to determine maintenance methods and procedures.
            • Examine engines for component damage, heat damage, security, and fluid leaks, including turbine blade inspections for foreign object damage through visual and borescope methods.
            • Test engine operation to identify malfunctions and perform operational checks.
            • Remove and reinstall engines and repair or replace worn or damaged components such as fuel controllers and starter/generators.
            • Perform required functional tests and miscellaneous servicing, including fuel and oil filter changes, lubrication, wheel and tire maintenance, battery servicing, compressor washes, and onboard sanitation servicing.
            • Complete aircraft documentation in accordance with repair station manuals, customer requirements, and approved task cards.
            • Travel periodically to domestic maintenance sites as required. Physical Requirements & Environment
            • Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, vibration, and loud noise levels.
            • Occasional exposure to explosives.
            • Ability to consistently wear required personal protective equipment, including eye, hearing, foot, hand, and respiratory protection.
            • Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work at heights exceeding 30 feet.
            • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling.
            • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
