Aircraft Mechanic Located:
Mount Pleasant, PA Pay:
up to $40s/hr Open to any rotary experience 6 month contract to hire Job Description Seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on rotary-wing aircraft. This role supports a variety of helicopter platforms and requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Candidates with commercial, military, or mixed helicopter maintenance backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Perform maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications on helicopters in accordance with FAA, OEM, military, and company standards. Troubleshoot and repair airframe, engine, drivetrain, hydraulic, electrical, and rotor systems. Document maintenance activities, inspections, discrepancies, and corrective actions using computerized maintenance tracking systems. Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and within established quality requirements. Verify parts, materials, and documentation meet applicable standards before installation. Coordinate with team members, inspectors, and leadership to support project schedules and aircraft readiness. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Assist with training and mentoring junior technicians as needed. Essential Skills FAA Airframe & Powerplant License required; equivalent military rotary-wing maintenance experience will also be considered. 5+ years of helicopter maintenance experience. Experience performing inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on rotary-wing aircraft. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and engineering documentation. Experience using electronic maintenance records or maintenance management systems. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to provide basic hand tools and work flexible schedules when required. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Bell, Airbus, Sikorsky, Boeing, Leonardo, Robinson, or military helicopter platforms. Military rotary-wing maintenance experience (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, or Coast Guard). Prior experience in overhaul, modification, depot-level maintenance, MRO, or aircraft completions environments. Leadership, training, or mentor experience. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $48.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
