Up to $40+/hr ✅ Open to candidates with any rotary-wing aircraft experience ✅ 6-Month Contract-to-Hire Opportunity About the Role We're seeking an experienced Helicopter Mechanic to join a growing team supporting maintenance, inspection, modification, and repair operations on a variety of rotary-wing aircraft. This position is ideal for mechanics with commercial, military, or mixed helicopter maintenance experience who thrive in a hands-on environment and are committed to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications on rotary-wing aircraft. Troubleshoot and repair airframe, engine, drivetrain, hydraulic, electrical, and rotor systems. Accurately document maintenance actions, discrepancies, and corrective measures within electronic maintenance tracking systems. Ensure all work meets FAA, OEM, military, and company standards. Verify parts, materials, and documentation prior to installation. Collaborate with inspectors, technicians, and leadership to support aircraft readiness and project timelines. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Support and mentor less experienced technicians when needed. Required Qualifications FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License preferred; equivalent military rotary-wing maintenance experience will be considered. 5+ years of helicopter maintenance experience. Strong troubleshooting and repair experience on rotary-wing aircraft. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and maintenance procedures. Experience using electronic maintenance records or maintenance management software. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to provide basic hand tools and work flexible schedules as required. Preferred Experience Hands-on experience with Bell, Airbus, Sikorsky, Boeing, Leonardo, Robinson, or military helicopter platforms. Military aviation maintenance (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, or Coast Guard). Experience in MRO, depot-level maintenance, aircraft modifications, overhauls, or completions. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
